Nordica Plastics Ltd. is a family-run business with deep roots in Mississauga, Ontario. It began with the dream of a young toolmaker Carmine Santarelli fresh out of his apprenticeship, and the unwavering support of a father who believed in that dream. Together, they took a leap of faith and founded Nordica Moulds Manufacturing Inc. in 1984. Starting in a modest 2,200 sq. ft. unit, the company specialized in plastic injection mould making.

As the client base grew rapidly, so did the demand for services that went beyond mould creation. In response, the company purchased its first injection moulding machine in 1988, allowing it to expand into full-service manufacturing. By 1988, Nordica Plastics Ltd. was officially formed, offering clients a complete solution under one roof.

Today, operating from a modern 20,000 sq. ft. facility, Nordica Plastics Ltd. not only manufactures for a wide range of clients but also produces its own innovative product lines—all designed and developed in-house. In 2017, the company launched its flagship line, Detail Guardz, which has since gained worldwide recognition and distribution and is being shipped to over twenty-five countries. Nordica Plastics Ltd. proudly received the prestigious SEMA Global Media Product Award for the Detail Guardz Dirt Lock Pad Washer and the Detail Guardz Hose Guides, a milestone that reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
